Singapore is an island, surrounding by waters clear and clean with some of the nicest beaches this side of the Asian region. As an island, we are surrounded by waters of the Indonesian Straits and some confluences of the Pacific and Indian Ocean. While we don’t get the mile high waves that some of the other islands in other regions of the world, surfing in Singapore is a reality today.

For the hardcore surfer, Singapore cannot match up geographically and oceanic ally to some of the walls of water that Hawaii, Australia and even parts of New Zealand; just to name a few, can offer to them. Thrills and spills, wipe outs and breathtaking moments are not the by word of the water sport landscape in these islands, but in the end of the day, Singapore offers a different perspective on the sport. Wake boarding and wind surfing are some of the popular activities that you can enjoy yourself with in our waters and Sentosa is one of the prime spots for you to do this.

Singapore is not a hardcore surfing destination and does not pretend to be one. It isn’t the haven of X-games experts, this is the smooth and svelte user friendly island for the entire family. Wake boarding, the safe surfing has really caught on with kids and adults alike. Rental of wake boards are available at almost all the major beaches all over Singapore.

You can also do kite surfing and sail surfing, all you have to do is go to any of the sail clubs located in Sentosa, Changi and the West Coast. Getting started is pretty easy and the learning curve is generous. Many of these places offer training services and coaching before you get started so you know you have the guidance necessary before you decide to go off on your own.

Whether you are behind the boat or riding the waves on your own, the potential for some safe and friendly fun is there. If you are looking to ride your surfboard into the sunset and conquer the waves, then you would have much better luck in countries like Indonesia or even Australia if you have the money. If you are looking for some family fun surfing or just having a good, sometimes clumsy time with your friends, then Singapore is the place for you. If you look around, there are usually likeminded people splashing about, having some fun surfing in Singapore

Alongside Taiwan, South Korea and Hong Kong, Singapore is one of the Four Asian Tiger economies. Rated by a World Bank IFC report as the most business friendly economy in the world, Singapore is host to many multinational corporations employing thousands of foreign workers. For these reasons an efficient and robust communications infrastructure continues to develop. To enable swift and clear communication Video Conferencing is hard to beat, and in Singapore where there are solid network facilities it is a medium whose adoption continues to grow. Video Conferencing uses ISDN, or more commonly TCP/IP to enable real time audio and video meetings between global locations.

The connection itself, the video meeting or video link, provides the immediacy that email cannot, and the face-to-face connection that a ‘phone call cannot. For someone doing business in Singapore, Video Conferencing enables meetings, conferences, interviews and work-groups with counterparts in any part of the world. Because the economic climate is in a state of flux this level and quality of communication is more important than ever. It’s also essential that video conference providers make their services easy to find, book and use. For this reason it makes sense to use a supplier with clearly listed locations and pricing. Some providers go one step further and offer an online option to view a particular studio’s diary, so that you can check availability and make a booking/enquiry there and then. This means that you can manage your video meeting from end-to-end without having the uncertainty of a dropped booking. To summarise, if you want to communicate clearly and succinctly with your commercial partners use Video Conferencing Singapore looks set to be an economic world power for the foreseeable future, and communications technologies are a fundamental part of that.

If there is one word that best captures Singapore, it is unique. A dynamic city rich in contrast and colour, find a harmonious blend of culture, cuisine, arts and architecture here. Brimming with unbridled energy, this little dynamo in Southeast Asia embodies the finest of both East and West

Singapore may be small, but packs in quite a punch. Only about 655 square kilometres in area, it is one of the most densely populated cities in the world, with about 6430 people per square kilometre. Although it is one of the 20 smallest countries in the world, its economy is a world leader, and has the worlds busiest port in terms of tonnage handled.

Driving in Singapore is a breeze. Navigating around the island is easy as there are well marked road signs which are all in English

Ever since Sir Stamford Raffles claimed the island of Singapore for the East India Company in 1819, English has had a place in Singapore. Since Singapore became an independent Republic in 1965, the use of English has increased still further, and since 1987 all Singaporean children have their education through the medium of English. For many Singaporeans, English is the main language. Many families speak English at home and it is one of the first languages learnt by about half of the current pre school children.

Nightlife is great and shopping is great.

Singapore has plenty to offer. An area that consists of one main island and several smaller islands and a population of just over 4 million. Impressive skyscrapers, gleaming malls contract with traditional Chinatown and Little India. A dynamic urban environment with entertainment, dining and energy. Modern well organized museums attractions and shopping provide plenty of action.

Singaporeans blend together in a sea of ethnic diversity, with Malays and Chinese, Tamils and Arabs, Indonesians and Thais, living in relative peace beside each other.

Singapore is warm and humid all year. The temperature rarely drops far below 70F. While Singapore has a wet season Nov to Jan and a dry season May to July, the cities rain is relatively steady and there is not a great difference between the wet and dry times of year. With any trip to the tropics you will want to bring sun screen and insect repellent. There are few major health risks in Singapore itself therefore the city keeps a close watch on mosquitoes and diseases.
