A visit to the Singapore zoo is the closes thing anyone in Singapore will get to the Safari experience ever, from the safety of well constructed and fascinating enclosures. The Singapore Zoo is locally known as the Mandai Zoo. It occupies a total area of 40 hectares. The zoo was first opened in 23rd of June in 1973 by the local government. There are a total of 315 species in the zoo including some of the country’s endangered species. The Singapore zoo draws millions of visitors each year.

The zoo is very attractive during the night while the evening glow illuminates the zoo scenery. Today, the Singapore zoo is more of like an open zoo with its very spacious features that makes everyone feel like being in a jungle with all the animals. Its total area has also grown from 28 hectares, is now became 40 hectares of land. Though not all the area is being used as a zoo, the remaining lands of the property became a forested land.

Among the famous attractions in Singapore zoo are the Orangutans that are being fed by the visitors. There is a daily “breakfast with the Orangutan” program which let the visitors have a chance to intermingle with the orangutans in the zoo. The said animals are quiet friendly so everyone especially the children will always enjoy mingling with them.

Another attraction here is the available rides that can be tried by the zoo visitors. There are pony rides, horse carriages, and other animal rides which everyone will definitely enjoy. These rides will truly fascinate everyone both children and adults. One can always try them by the help of many friendly zoo staffs. If you haven’t tried any animal rides yet, Singapore zoo will truly be a delightful place for you.

There is also a program in the zoo called the “friends of the zoo” program which people can sign up to and have a yearly pass in the zoo and have several privileges such as: free and limitless entry to the zoo for a whole year round; free tram rides; free wildlife magazines; and a ten percent discount in some retail outlets. This program is very much appreciated by the Singapore zoo lovers who love to visit the place many times a year.

This is truly a place for everyone to have fun. The beauty of the zoo will captivate every nature lover and animal lovers. One will definitely adore the attractive and friendly animals particularly when visitors are interacting with them. A trip to the Singapore will surely make everyone be back for more and be hooked with the beauty of the amazing nature of the zoo.

Singapore is a small country with an accessible land area of only about 700 square kms,but the place has been nurtured and made into a famous tourist destination primarily due to the hard work, commitment and dedication of its people towards their homeland.Singapore is famous for being the cleanest city in the world. Tourists will be astonished and impressed by the strict rules and regulations formed by the Singapore government. There are many posters in buildings and parks telling people what they should do, what they shouldn’t do and how much they will be fined if they break the rules. That is the reason why Singapore is called “the fine city”.

The Singaporean government wants to establish a clean and green country where all citizens are well educated and are considerately to others. Therefore they have set many strict rules as well as put a lot of instructions and reminders in public places so that people always remember what they aren’t allowed to do and everything is orderly. Children are taught at school and in their family, right from very early ages, about what they should do and how to behave in this society. If you are a tourist visiting Singapore, you should be considerate and pay attention to every one of your actions. There are many things considered normal in your country but which are illegal in Singapore. You will be fined heavily if you litter or smoke in public places. Also remember to flush public toilets after using it so that you aren’t fined S$500.

It is summer and you enjoy lying on the beach sunbathing. However, if you are in Singapore, you mustn’t go nude or topless when sunbathing, even if it is your own back yard. It is forbidden in Singapore and you will be fined if you’re caught doing that.Chewing gum is not forbidden in Singapore but bringing gum into the country in large amount is illegal and the gum seller can be sent to jail. Therefore, be careful with what you bring to Singapore. You can find more information about what is not allowed to be brought into Singapore by visiting the Singaporean customs’ website.

Thanks to the strict laws of Singapore, this country is very safe and orderly. There is virtually no crime, no corruption and you are safe even when walking alone at night. There may be some pickpockets in crowded places. However, they are rare unlike any other Asian countries.Every year a large number of tourists are fined during their stay in Singapore because they are unaware of the strict rules and regulations. You should read about its rules and regulations carefully before going there and be aware of every board, poster or sign you see. Being a decent person and showing your respect to others, you won’t encounter any problems and will have an enjoyable stay in this clean country.

Singapore is a very popular tourist destination. Every year, people flock to Singapore for holidays. Singapore is a fantastic country which is safe and clean. Although Singapore is a small city, it still has quite a few interesting places for you to visit.

East Coast Park. East Coast Park is a popular playground among Singaporeans and we believe tourists will like it too. It covers a sprawling area and you can do a lot of activities there such as bowling, cycling, running, canoeing, picnicking, BBQ, etc. If you are the sporty guy, you definitely must visit East Coast Park.

Chinese and Japanese Gardens. The 2 gardens are situated adjacent to one another and they are just 5 minutes walk from the Chinese Garden MRT station. If you are into Chinese history, you will definitely like the Chinese Garden. It is a reflection of the Chinese Imperial Garden, which has twin pagodas. The Japanese Garden has a distinct style which reflects the Japanese culture accurately.

Bukit Timah nature reserve. Bukit Timah nature reserve is a 164 hectare rainforest which contains several species of plants. If you love trekking, this is one of the best wildlife sanctuaries. Mount Faber is located near Sentosa, which is an offshore island of Singapore that is famous for its beach and sight-seeing. At Mount Faber, you can view the skyline of Singapore and other offshore islands. Definitely a breathtaking and fantastic view for you.

Singapore Zoo. The Singapore Zoo is very famous among tourists with many species of animals. The Night Safari is one of the best adventure tours you can indulge in. It is the first night zoo where you can get up close to some wildlife nocturnal animals. Fort Canning Park was built between 1859 and 1861 by the British. It was originally an arms store, barrack and hospital. During the Japanese invasion during World War II, British soldiers fought them on this hill.

Singapore Botanic Garden. This garden is full with treasure of flora, with many different specimens. In Singapore, there are a lot of other interesting places for you to visit, such as the Jurong Bird Park, Orchard Road, Chinatown and Little India. Every year, tons of tourists flock to Singapore because of its attractions. So if you are planning for your next holiday trip, do consider Singapore.

The delights of shopping in Singapore and her wealth of shopping centers and shopping directories that would make mapmakers of the globe shudder in fright are both legendary and on the tips of the lips of every traveler who comes to Singapore to experience this mad craze – crowned off by the great Singapore sale and other mini bargain seasons that seem to crop up just as pay day rolls by.

If Singapore could be described as a maze then it is somewhere that the ladies and anyone who is passionate about shopping would love to get lost in. On last count there are more than 200 major shopping malls and centers all over the island, from massive redoubts and golden palaces of retail opportunities to the more humble buildings that are scattered along the many suburbs and quaint little towns all over Singapore.

Shopping should be declared as sin as many ladies after a night out of disco and cocktails top off the night with a champagne and a trip to the largest 24-hour shopping centre in Singapore. While this is not a typical list a guy would draw up as a good time on a Friday night, this is the extent of the shopping culture in Singapore. Orchard Road has more than 2, 000 local and international brands in buildings of old and new, some of which reach to the skies. A bus full of ladies in a bus riding past orchard will always make an excuse to stop by and experience the delights it has to offer. It is an addiction to retail, a drug induced stupor, lightheadedness and a buoyant mood everytime they start shopping around.

What’s more is that they get treated like royalty in Singapore. Shopping centers are designed to make their retail experience as fluid and as velvety as possible. Well trained concierge staff, retail staff and cashiers who seem to have a smile transfixed on their face and a warm greeting always on the tip of their tongue are predominant in many of these department stores. Shopping is a delight in Singapore – simply because this country has been designed to give such pleasures.

A most visit destination in the city is Sentosa Island, boasting of incredible beaches, amusement rides, an aquarium, and a butterfly garden with more than 2000 species of insects like dead leaf mantis and long horned beetles. Illuminated with more than 500 lampposts, Night Safari is a great way to spectacle the free moving animals in search of their food at night.

A visit to Singapore would be incomplete without taking a tour to stunning gardens in the area. The city has to its credit one of the largest botanical reserves in the world, namely, Botanical Gardens, spread over 52 hectares of land. With more than 500,000 plant species, Botanical Gardens consists of four sections: Orchid Garden inclusive of 2,000 hybrids of orchids; Ginger Garden with plants belonging to ginger family; Evolution Garden; and Rain Forest. Also, significant are Chinese and Japanese Gardens, in which Chinese gardens feature traditional Chinese imperial garden with pagodas and Japanese Gardens with stone lanterns, classical Japanese motifs, and Zen rock garden.

Apart from parks and gardens, Singapore abounds in historical and cultural sites. A not to miss cultural spot in the nation is Chinatown, with ancient shrines, decorated terraces, and crowded streets dotted with fortunetellers, temple worshipers and calligraphers.

A good number of restaurants serving authentic, delicious Chinese cuisines can also be seen here. Another great cultural site in the city is Little India, whose highlights are outlets selling Indian items like saris, jewelry, and images of Lord Buddha. A great variety of ethnic Indian cuisines can also be enjoyed here. Other attractions here are the Sri Srinivasa Peruaml Temple and the Abdul Gafoor Mosque, whose architecture is a fine blend of Arabian and Renaissance styles. Additionally, a historically significant spot in the city is Singapore World War 2 Sites.

In order to explore the rich cultural heritage of the city, nothing would be better than a visit to some of the interesting museums in the region, including, Singapore History Museum, Selangor Pewter Museum, Changi Prison Chapel and Museum, Singapore Air Force Museum, Asian Civilizations Museum at Empress Place, Peranakan Place Museum, and Mint Coin Gallery, each of which exhibits a rare collection of Singaporean art and artifacts.

Likewise, on your trip to Singapore, don’t miss attractions such as Singapore River, a stroll along its banks as well as a cruise across it would be memorable; Arab Street, whose attractions are mosques including Sultan Mosque, the largest in the nation, and Malabar Muslim Jamaath Mosque; and Orchard Road, a delightful area filled with innovative shopping centers, world class hotels and restaurants, and exciting night spots. If you are looking something exciting during your stay at Singapore, then visit Underwater World, which is one of its kind in the city and second of its kind in the world, another being in Japan.

Singapore also hosts a great variety of festivals such as Thaipusam, Vesak or Buddha Day, Chinese New Year, Lantern Festival, and Deepavali – the festival of lights.

With these amazing attractions, tourists from across the globe flock to this amazing destination. Hence, the city has accommodation choices to suit every pocket and budget.

Singapore is one of the most important connectors among the global transport network, along with the trade it supports all the time. Keeping these facts aside the beauty and uniqueness of Singapore is quite amazing in it, and does not have to be publicized. Singapore is also well known for the accommodation advantages it provides to its visitors, all along the year; hotels in Singapore being available in a great variety that could be hard to obtain at other places.

For religious people, who wish to visit various religious constructs in a particular place, Singapore would be an ideal city, combining the multi-ethnic religion it follows.

There are lots of people who visit Singapore for different reasons. Singapore is teeming with bright opportunities for business persons. So, you can see lots of people coming to Singapore to get in touch with local business owners. However, Singapore is one of the best places in the world to make merry. There are clubs and casinos which contribute to its nightlife in a great way. Surely, there are lots of attractions, but, you must be thinking about accommodation. That’s what most people do think before coming to Singapore for the first time. Actually, Singapore is one of the most densely populated countries of the world, so, it is obvious to feel insecure about the availability of accommodation. However, Singapore hotels will really make your vacations even enjoyable by presenting some stylish rooms with all amenities.

The best thing about Singapore hotels is not the availability of these hotels, but, it’s the availability of hotels that you want. Singapore cheap hotels can be found with the same ease with which Singapore luxury hotels can be found. However, it is pertinent to mention that Singapore surely is expensive as compared to some other South-East Asian countries. It means that Singapore cheap hotels will also cost you something from $50 to $100. However, Fragrance hotel and Hotel 81 are the places where you will be able to stay by paying least amount of money. For Singapore luxury hotels, there is no limit as you will get more luxuries if you will be willing to spend more money.

First up is travel; and the state is also fast-becoming as a popular travel destination for most weary and tired tourists and those who seek some adventure. In fact, with the popularity of the state as a travel spot the tourism industry of the state is one of the largest industries. Based on some estimates that are available, the number of tourist that visited the state in 2006 was 9.7 million. That’s a lot of people who considered a Singapore travel. Actually this kind of industry not only benefits the weary traveler who might want to take a respite from day to day activities. The travel industries also does its share in making the state more progressive as it creates more job opportunities.

When the discussion is all about Singapore and the travel spots in Singapore, then the name Orchard Road isn’t far behind. Orchard Road is called as the shopping district or the shopping spot of the state. This spot draws not only shoppers but tourists as well. And in order to boost the arrival of tourists in the state, the government of Singapore decided to open up the economy and decided as well to legalize gambling in the form of casinos. The casinos that are opened in the state are called Integrated Resorts and these resorts are seen and developed at the Marina South and the Sentosa. Since the state faces stiff competition from its neighbors, the government as well announced that the city area and all the buildings within the vicinity will be lighted up.
